Jillian Nellie Hennely was born 25 December 1968. She is an accomplished Canadian singer and actress who has contributed a major contribution to American TV. She is renowned for her outstanding performances on the American television show Law & Order where she fascinated viewers for three seasons as the prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan when she played the lead character Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy has also showcased her talent in movies like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also wrote and directed these films. Hennessy began her acting career with her sister in the role of twin call-girls in Dead Ringers in 1988. She was briefly featured in Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in 1990. In 1993, the actress left the realm of musicals and into the sci-fi world as Dr. Marie Lazarus. In the same year, she became assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. Her performance captivated viewers in the role for three seasons prior to the end of 1996 when she left.
